This pizza soup with pepperoni  is just like eating pizza in a bowl!  This easy recipe is a perfect fall soup that both kids and adults will love.

Soup with pepperoni in a bowl

Pizza soup is the ultimate comfort food. This is the type of  soup kids and adults will love.Y'all know most kids love to eat anything called pizza. My 7 yr old LOVES it, especially with breadsticks on the side. Use bread sticks or rolls, french bread or whatever you like to sop up all the rich and flavorful soup. It's so good!

This one pot soup is easy to customize. If you love mushrooms, add them. Want extra ground beef add more. Prefer sausages? Then eliminate the ground beef. Feel free to add whatever you like.

    Pizza Soup

I originally made this pepperoni soup recipe back in 2014 when I first started food blogging. The original photo was pretty awful.

Yesterday, I figured it was time to take new photos including the process shots which I've been adding to all of my newer recipes, but that didn't happen because I accidentally deleted  the pizza soup process shots (sad face)? I still can't believe I did that.

When I make the soup again, I'll make sure to do the process shots however, I'm sure you can manage to make it without the process shots. It's super easy to make!

    How to make it

Never made pizza soup before. I'll show you just how easy it is to make. Just remember to season generously with salt because th

    1. Over medium high heat, add vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot add the ground beef. Cook until browned. Drain the fat. Remove the beef and set it to the side.
    2. Next, saute the peppers for about 5 minutes. Add the onions. Cook until they're translucent.
    3. Add the tomato paste and fire roasted tomatoes. Cook stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
    4. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
    5. Next add the ground beef back to the pot along with the pepperoni, unsalted butter, beef base, water, Italian seasoning, parsley, oregano, crushed red pepper, a bit of sugar, onion and garlic powder.
    6. Stir and let it come to a boil then simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove the lid and add the heavy whipping cream and the parmesan cheese. Serve with shredded mozzarella on the side or stir it into the pizza soup.
