This simple strawberry ice cream soda float is made with macerated strawberries, lime soda, vanilla ice cream. It's then topped with sprinkles of ruby red sugar crystals and more strawberries. Cool off this summer with this refreshing strawberry float!
Add diced strawberries to a bowl. Use a fork or masher to crush them slightly. Sprinkle with sugar, stir, and let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
Assemble the float:
Divide half the strawberry mixture between two glasses. Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream to each. Spoon more strawberries over the ice cream, then top with another scoop of ice cream.
Pour & garnish:
Slowly pour cold lemon-lime soda over the ice cream. Top with a few more strawberries and sprinkle with red sugar crystals. Garnish with a whole strawberry, if desired.
Serve immediately while it's fizzy and cold.
