– Rinse the cranberries. Place all of the ingredients into a sauce pan (except for the vanilla extract) over high heat and bring to a boil.
– Reduce heat and cook on medium heat stirring occasionally. The cranberries will began to burst.
Cook uncovered and stirring until the sauce has thickened. Transfer to a bowl. Add the vanilla extract and mix well and let it cool completely.
