Why buy, when you can easily make this inexpensive, full of flavor creamy potato soup.
Here’s another copy cat recipe for you guys. Back in the day, when I ate out all the time, I use to frequent Olive Garden. I loved their bread sticks and salad, mostly and this potato soup. Of course I researched a copy cat recipe for that too! I’ve placed it on my to do list and will post the recipe for y’all once I get to it.
Anyway, back to this creamy potato soup. The first spoonful was aaaaamazing! The crumbly potato’s and crunchy bits of smoked bacon compliments the creamy richness of the soup. The flavors detonated in my mouth, with every bite. It was so good, I had to have seconds. I would’ve had thirds but I had to share. I’m so pleased that it tasted better than Olive Garden’s version.
A couple things I did differently; I added a bit of butter, cayenne pepper, beef sausage and beef bacon. If you have a big family or love seconds, then you may want to double this recipe. I wish I had!
